I have more than 30 years experience in IT. Starting on mainframes; to DOS and Windows; and Unix. I have been involved in teaching all aspects of computing - from languages (COBOL/Basic/Pascal/Assembler/BASIC) to higher level (Oracle) and to systems analysis.

After 10 years as a System Support and DBA (Ingres/Oracle/DB2 UDB) for a large UK bank, I am now working as a Sysop/DBA for a UK manufacturing company ( One of the few- but if you own any electronic gear, one of our machines probably helped make it) using HPUX; ksh, awk and Perl scripts; Oracle; Glovia ERP; Impromptu(for reports); and Formscape for printouts
